Parent-Child Dyad Art Therapy

with Lucille Proulx, MA, ATR, RCAT, the "mother" of dyad art therapy and author of Strengthening Emotional Ties through Parent-Child-Dyad Art Therapy

This course is fully translated in French.

This home-study course and workshop offers an in-depth exploration of techniques and tools essential for effectively working within the parent(caregiver)-child dyad. The curriculum is meticulously structured into five comprehensive chapters, each focusing on different developmental stages: working with toddlers, kindergarten children, school-aged children, and teenagers.

The course begins with a detailed theoretical presentation, establishing a solid foundation in the principles and practices relevant to the parent-child dynamic. Following this, it delves into age-specific strategies, providing targeted approaches for engaging with toddlers, addressing the unique needs of kindergarteners, supporting school-aged children, and navigating the complexities of teenage development.

This course provides valuable insights into appropriate assessment tools and techniques tailored to each age group. Lucille Proulx, the initiator of this method, tested and refined in her 15 year work in a Canadian child psychiatry hospital, will guide you through the content using a variety of engaging methods, including instructional videos, comprehensive theoretical presentations, detailed case studies, and workshops. This multifaceted approach ensures that you not only understand the theoretical underpinnings but also gain practical skills and confidence in applying these concepts in real-world settings.

The course contains 6 hours of training to be watched and consulted  at your pace.
